Project and Role Overview
The Qurayyah IPP Expansion includes a 3,010 MW combined-cycle gas turbine plant developed with the Saudi Electricity Company and Haji Abdullah Alireza & Co. Ltd.
The Operations Manager reports to the Plant General Manager.
The role leads the plant operations department and manages operations and laboratory activities to achieve production targets and operational efficiency.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop the operations department strategy and report operational activities, challenges and mitigations to plant and country management.
- Contribute to the operations budget and monitor financial performance through budget variance analysis.
- Develop production plans and lead monthly and daily scheduling of plant shift operations.
- Lead power generation or water production operations while maintaining safety and quality.
- Resolve escalated operational issues and review daily and periodic operations reports.
- Lead operational management meetings and recommend improvements to equipment reliability and process efficiency.
- Ensure critical equipment protective-device tests are completed in compliance with international safety standards.
- Plan maintenance programmes and support safe outages, shutdowns and equipment restarts.
- Oversee production parameters, plant chemistry and laboratory testing in line with regulatory and quality standards.
Health, Safety, Security and Environment
- Ensure operations comply with relevant health, safety, security and environmental requirements.
Requirements
- Lead plant operations and laboratory activities in accordance with contractual requirements and defined quality, cost and HSE standards.
- Maintain compliance with relevant health, safety, security and environmental requirements.
- Ensure operational activities meet production targets, efficiency objectives and applicable quality standards.
