Role purpose

Strategy and budget

• Develop the maintenance department strategy in alignment with the plant strategy and interfacing departmental strategies.
• Report operational activities, challenges, issues, and mitigation actions to the Plant General Manager.
• Contribute to the maintenance budget and monitor financial performance to identify and correct unsatisfactory performance.

Maintenance planning

• Lead preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance plans and work schedules for electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation and control systems.
• Develop annual and long-term maintenance plans that support timely, efficient, cost-effective, and HSE-compliant work.
• Cascade the maintenance strategy into work instructions and standard operating procedures for equipment and processes.

Maintenance management

• Lead implementation of approved maintenance plans with discipline engineers and the operations team across plant assets and equipment.
• Oversee equipment risk assessments to identify anomalies and implement risk mitigation.
• Manage emergency breakdown response and corrective action to maintain plant availability and minimize downtime.
• Oversee SAP maintenance documentation, including faults, repair methods, time, labor, and materials.
• Review daily maintenance and condition monitoring reports and submit periodic technical reports to management.

Work setting

• The role supports maintenance of the Qassim 1 combined-cycle power plant in the Al-Qassim region of Saudi Arabia.

• Ensure maintenance activities comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Apply maintenance procedures, company policies, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation in SAP, including faults, repairs, time, labor, and materials.
• Manage maintenance activities within approved timelines and budgets.
