Primary Function

  • Represent the affiliate’s medical/scientific voice of expertise for assigned product(s) and relevant therapeutic area(s).
  • Provide medical/scientific expert advice/guidance to key customers.
  • Provide medical/scientific input into Medical Affairs strategies and commercial plans.

Responsibilities

  • Being an active brand team member to support overall strategy and execution.
  • Develop and maintain in depth knowledge for assigned product(s)/therapeutic area(s).
  • Provide expert medical/scientific advice for assigned products.
  • Establish and maintain professional and credible relationships with External Experts.
  • Deliver scientific presentations and medical education programs.
  • Screen relevant literature and develop summaries of key messages.
  • Deliver training to sales forces and other departments.
  • Design and implement clinical research projects.
  • Provide oversight for review, approval and conduct of IIS studies.
  • Review and preparation of promotional/non promotional material.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide input into development of product or TA specific strategic medical affairs plans.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (PharmD, PharmB, MD, PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of pharmaceutical environment and role of Medical Affairs.
  • Prior experience in Medical Affairs and Oncology therapy area required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in scientific methods applied to clinical research.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills.
  • Good understanding of written and oral English mandatory.
  • Collaborative, team oriented approach.
  • Ability to travel regularly (approximately 50%).
  • High customer orientation and digital savviness.
  • Strong commitment to compliance and scientific quality.
