Role overview
Mechanical Estimation Engineer role within an MEP and Electro-Mechanical contracting environment in Abu Dhabi.
The role supports estimating and tendering for mechanical works on building construction projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- The posting states 3–5 years of experience in the role overview and 5 years of relevant experience in the requirements.
- Experience in Mechanical Estimation and Tendering within MEP or Electro-Mechanical contracting is preferred.
- Knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and tender pricing is required.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, equipment schedules, and tender documents.
- Understanding of UAE authority requirements, codes, and standards is required.
- Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required; AutoCAD and PlanSwift or similar software are advantageous.
- Strong analytical, numerical, communication, and English language skills are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Review tender documents and define mechanical scope, inclusions, exclusions, and responsibilities.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare measured quantities, BOQs, and tender pricing.
- Obtain, evaluate, compare, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
