Role Overview

Darwish Interserve WLL is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for facilities management and large-scale projects across the Gulf region.

The role covers mechanical and electrical systems, maintenance delivery, technical analysis, and health and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce technical and maintenance reports and document repair work.
  • Inspect premises and equipment and ensure safe working practices across sites.
  • Oversee mechanical and electrical repairs, installations, and upgrades.
  • Develop maintenance procedures and schedule planned and unplanned work.
  • Monitor equipment inventory, order materials, and manage maintenance budgets.
  • Manage subcontractors and coordinate with QMA contractors.
  • Diagnose breakdowns, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Advise on equipment upgrades or replacements.
  • Train and supervise maintenance staff and manage scheduling.
  • Verify PPM, repairs, and material requirements in the CAFM system.
  • Update as-built drawings, load schedules, and site condition reports.
  • Perform electrical and cooling load calculations, site visits, technical analysis, and condition reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 12 years of facilities management experience, including 8 years on large Gulf projects.
  • MMUP/UPDA Grade B registration is required.
  • CFM or PMP certification is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, CAFM systems, and health and safety compliance.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and technical reporting skills.
  • Valid driving license and availability to join immediately or within one month.

Compensation

  • The salary is QAR 8,000 to QAR 10,000 per month.
