Project Overview

Bechtel is managing the infrastructure program for Expo 2030 Riyadh, including early works, utilities, streets, parks, and other publicly accessible spaces.

The six-square-kilometre project is planned to operate from October 2030 to March 2031 before transitioning into a mixed-use legacy development.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Construction Logistics Manager, the Logistics Lead governs and assures construction logistics activities across assigned Expo delivery areas.

The role integrates logistics with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness for safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery.

Major Responsibilities

  • Lead a multidisciplinary logistics team and develop programme-wide Construction Logistics Plans and strategies.
  • Review contractor logistics, traffic management, access management, and logistics execution plans.
  • Plan construction movements, access, traffic, laydown areas, logistics hubs, storage, temporary facilities, and workforce movement.
  • Manage logistics land plots, infrastructure, interfaces, handovers, scopes of work, budgets, and procurement requirements.
  • Monitor contractor performance, compliance, risks, KPIs, dashboards, reporting, and continuous improvement.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or an equivalent field.
  • 15–17 years of progressively responsible construction logistics planning and management experience on major infrastructure or mega-projects.
  • Experience developing integrated logistics strategies for complex, multi-contractor projects.
  • Experience with traffic and access management plans, contractor logistics plans, logistics infrastructure, land allocations, and handovers.
  • Experience developing logistics scopes, budgets, contract documentation, and procurement support.
  • Experience in Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, or GCC mega-projects is highly desirable.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, contractor logistics, supply chain integration, temporary facilities, traffic management, governance, and operational readiness.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
