About the Role

Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day to day Transport Operations in terms of scheduling, routing and driver activity management so as to ensure that resources are utilized in the most efficient and optimal manner
- Preparing the scheduling and routing of assets to ensure accuracy and timeliness thereby ensuring contractual obligations (customer and departmental SLA’s) are met
- Preparing KPIs and reports accurately within process timeframes
- Ensuring compliance to all operational procedures, policies and practices
- Notifying Supervisor in the event of an emergency; a serious situation; or unusual events which has an impact or may have a potential impact on transportation operations
- Proactively identify potential problems and opportunities for improvement
- Maintaining a positive attitude that promotes teamwork, shared goal and values
- Maintaining professional partnering relationships with inter department teams across all parts of the operation
- Performing any other related duties / projects assigned by the direct supervisor from time to time to meet the business exigencies

Job Purpose
- The primary purpose of this is to facilitate the drivers and helpers in their daily activities; ensure accurate and timely asset scheduling and routing; driver activity management; maintain procedural conformance and operational integrity.
