Logistics Coordinator

Role Overview

Operational Logistics

• Coordinate daily logistics operations, site logistics plans, deliveries, storage, internal material movements, and logistics performance.
• Coordinate mobilisation, demobilisation, temporary facilities, welfare, hoarding, fencing, access gates, utilities, compounds, signage, and traffic management.
• Coordinate manpower, plant allocation, lifting operations, waste removal, housekeeping, delivery schedules, and logistics cost control.
• Liaise with construction, HSE, MEP, procurement, commercial, security, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Prepare logistics reports and KPIs, maintain documentation and permits, support SOPs, and coordinate work-front interfaces.

Digital, Risk, and Compliance

• Support Digital Logistics operations including Biometrics, Delivery Management System, and SmartHoist.
• Support audits and inspections, identify and escalate logistics risks, monitor corrective actions, and ensure QHSE compliance.
• Promote safe working practices, good housekeeping, efficient resource use, confidentiality, and accurate completion of records.
• Support emergency logistics arrangements, continuous improvement, training, and other reasonable duties assigned by the Logistics Manager.

Experience and Education

• The source states three to five years in a similar position and a minimum of five years in building construction, logistics coordination, or pre-construction roles.
• Background in management, civil engineering, logistics, or an equivalent field is required.
• NEBOSH or OSHA safety certification and logistics or supply chain management training are listed as requirements.
• Experience in the Middle East is preferred.

Skills

• Construction logistics planning, site establishment, material flow management, temporary works coordination, and KPI reporting.
• BuildSmart, Microsoft Office, basic AutoCAD understanding, and supply chain or shipment monitoring.
• Power BI is listed as preferred.
• Planning, organisation, communication, stakeholder management, problem solving, attention to detail, time management, initiative, and teamwork are required.
