Job Summary

The Lifting Foreman leads an on-site construction crew while balancing hands-on trade labor with active site supervision.

The role ensures daily work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to quality standards.

The foreman serves as the primary communication link between field workers and project management.

Position Details

  • Department: Field Operations.
  • Reports to the General Superintendent or Project Manager.
  • Position type: Full-time, on-site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform skilled physical labor and trade tasks alongside crew members and subcontractors while guiding team performance.
  • Coordinate daily assignments based on project priorities, look-ahead schedules, and changing site conditions.
  • Lead toolbox talks, enforce OSHA guidelines and company safety policies, and ensure proper PPE use.
  • Inspect work against blueprints, architectural plans, and local building codes.
  • Track materials, monitor tools and equipment, and request supplies before shortages affect progress.
  • Report work progress, schedule setbacks, and material needs to project managers and superintendents.
  • Train apprentices and onboard new crew members with hands-on instruction and feedback.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Three to five years of hands-on construction experience in the relevant trade, including one to two years in a lead, supervisory, or foreman capacity.
  • Advanced ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • In-depth understanding of safety rules, building codes, and standard industry operating procedures.
  • Clear verbal communication skills for instructing crews, coordinating subcontractors, and reporting to management.
  • Ability to work in varied weather, perform heavy manual labor, lift 50–80 pounds, and stand for long periods.
  • Valid driver’s license and either a high school diploma or completed trade certification.

Compensation

  • Pay is AED 2,500–3,500 per month.
