Role Overview
The HSE Manager will develop, implement, and continuously improve health, safety, and environmental management systems.
The role supports regulatory compliance, international standards, and a safety-first culture across complex operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain HSE systems aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Lead HSE strategy and continuous improvement across projects and operations.
- Ensure compliance with UAE regulators, client requirements, and international best practices.
- Oversee hazard identification, risk assessments, method statements, and control measures.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
- Manage audits, inspections, assessments, and Lead Auditor activities.
- Monitor HSE KPIs and report trends and performance to senior leadership.
- Provide management advice on HSE risks, legal obligations, and emerging issues.
- Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, and leadership engagement programs.
- Lead emergency preparedness, response planning, and crisis management drills.
- Manage and mentor the HSE team and promote a proactive, sustainable HSE culture.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline is required.
- At least 15 years of total HSE experience and 5 years in a managerial or leadership role are required.
- Major construction experience must include high-rise commercial and residential towers.
- Experience with large-scale, high-risk, multidisciplinary projects is required.
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and international best practices is required.
- Willingness to travel to project and operational sites is required.
Certifications
- NEBOSH International General Certificate is required.
- Level 6 or Level 7 qualification in Occupational Safety and Health is required.
- ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Certification is required.
- ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Certification is required.
- ADOSH-SF Senior Practitioner Certification is required.
- CMIOSH and CSP certifications are preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 8,000 to AED 12,000 per month.
Workplace
- The work location is in person.
