Role Overview

Contract Management

• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on supplier, distributor, customer, agency, service, logistics, procurement, lease, and partnership agreements.
• Manage the contract lifecycle from drafting and negotiation through execution, renewals, amendments, and termination.
• Identify contractual risks, liabilities, indemnities, warranties, termination provisions, and commercial exposures.
• Maintain standard contracts, templates, clauses, contract playbooks, records, and approval procedures.

Legal Advisory and Compliance

• Provide day-to-day legal advice to management and business functions on commercial and operational matters.
• Advise on UAE laws and regulations relevant to FMCG operations.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess their business impact.
• Support legal and compliance policies and recommend mitigation for legal and regulatory risks.

Commercial Legal Support

• Advise on distribution, retail, marketing, advertising, promotions, product arrangements, suppliers, and third-party relationships.
• Review marketing campaigns, promotional materials, customer terms, and commercial initiatives.
• Advise on disputes, claims, notices, and legal matters involving business partners.
• Coordinate with external counsel on litigation, regulatory matters, and specialist legal issues.

Corporate and General Legal Matters

• Support corporate documentation, board and shareholder matters, powers of attorney, and other corporate requirements.
• Review employment-related, procurement, finance, and operational agreements with relevant internal teams.
• Assist with legal due diligence and documentation for new initiatives, partnerships, and transactions.
• Protect confidential legal and commercial interests.

Key Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Law, LLB, or equivalent is mandatory.
• At least eight years of relevant post-qualification or legal experience is required.
• UAE legal experience is mandatory.
• Strong commercial contracts and contract lifecycle management experience is required.
• Experience in FMCG, retail, consumer goods, manufacturing, distribution, or a similar environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE commercial and corporate legal frameworks is required.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers, customers, distributors, and other third parties is required.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, legal risk assessment, communication, and stakeholder-management skills are required.
• The candidate must be able to provide practical advice and work independently in a fast-paced commercial environment.
