Role Overview
The partner company is seeking a Lead Software Engineer based in Canada.
This senior technical leadership role combines hands-on frontend and backend engineering with architectural problem-solving.
The position is fully remote and full-time, with a 9 AM–5 PM Melbourne-time schedule.
Accountabilities
- Develop and improve web applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and React 18+.
- Own features from technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and optimization.
- Design and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and integrations with external systems.
- Create responsive, accessible, and performant interfaces using React, Tailwind CSS, and TanStack Query.
- Implement secure OAuth, OIDC, and session-based authentication and authorization.
- Maintain engineering standards through automated testing, code reviews, and reliable development practices.
- Write efficient SQL queries and optimize relational database interactions.
- Use Git for source control, branching, collaboration, and code review workflows.
- Use AI-powered coding assistants while maintaining code quality.
- Work in Linux-based development and deployment environments.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers on user-focused features.
- Contribute to architecture, debugging, technical improvements, and performance optimization.
