Role Overview
The Lead Fault Controller manages Fault Control, live fault response, and remote condition or system monitoring functions.
The role uses Maintenance Management System and ECC diagnostic facilities and leads Fault Controllers and First Line Response Technicians allocated during the shift.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Support fault management strategies, processes, standards, and procedures aligned with operational resilience objectives.
- Support the remote condition monitoring program, subsystem diagnostics, performance tools, and quality assurance processes.
- Identify systemic challenges, provide data-driven recommendations, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate communication, training, engagement, mentoring, succession planning, and capability development.
- Review standards and procedures, document analyses, monitor industry practices, and represent the function in cross-functional initiatives.
- Lead Fault Controllers and First Line Response Technicians to provide effective fault management and asset recovery.
Financial Responsibilities
- Support rostering, manpower planning, and coverage coordination to minimize overtime and unplanned staffing costs.
- Meet fault management KPIs to enable timely response, limit service downtime, and reduce disruption-related costs.
