Role Overview
This is a lead systems engineering role focused on design, coordination, and project execution for variable speed drive system projects.
The role interfaces with customers, vendors, business verticals, engineering functions, and supply chain.
Power Systems Analysis
- Perform power system studies using ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, and PSCAD.
- Develop and maintain electrical network models for transmission, distribution, and industrial power systems.
- Analyze grid performance under normal and fault conditions, including reliability and operational behavior.
- Support solar, wind, battery energy storage, and hybrid renewable integration studies.
- Perform relay settings, validate protection schemes, and study voltage stability, frequency response, and disturbances.
Project Execution
- Prepare technical recommendations and review systems solutions for technical fitness and risk management.
- Analyze customer contracts and prepare project specifications and reports.
- Identify improvements to processes, tools, systems, and equipment and implement approved changes.
- Ensure compliance with company and customer EHS policies and procedures.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Platform Engineering, Technology and Value Engineering, Supply Chain, business entities, customers, and vendors.
- Support opportunity-to-revenue activities and drive lean approaches to optimize technical project solutions.
Required Qualifications
- A master's or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is required.
- At least 8 years of power systems analysis or systems engineering project experience is required.
- Experience must cover industry, marine, oil and gas, or power domains.
- Strong power systems and electrical engineering knowledge plus hands-on ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, and PSCAD experience are required.
- Understanding of protection systems, grid interconnection requirements, relevant standards, and grid codes is required.
- The role requires interpreting single-line diagrams, relay coordination data, and equipment parameters.
Additional Qualifications
- Python, DPL, or other scripting tools are an advantage.
- PLM and Primavera experience are added advantages.
- The role requires analytical problem solving, multitasking, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Team and Travel
- Lead a team in a matrix environment and work with multidisciplinary international teams.
- Travel may be required on short notice within the base country and overseas for short- or long-term assignments.
Work Arrangement
