Role overview
The Cyber Security R&D team designs, codes, delivers, and maintains cyber security software applications, microservices, and secured deployment infrastructures.
The Lead Engineer reports to the Cyber-Security Program Manager and supports cyber security products and solutions for transmission, distribution, and industrial projects.
Core responsibilities
- Design cyber security features such as microservices and cross-platform shareable components.
- Develop and support cyber security applications and microservices.
- Design secured deployment infrastructures and participate in product and solution deployment.
- Apply SDLC, Agile, CI/CD, DevOps, product security, scalability, documentation, refactoring, and automated testing practices.
- Communicate technical information across teams and stakeholders.
- Estimate development tasks, make technology choices, and deliver technical work with minimal supervision.
- Contribute to collaboration, mentoring, best-practice sharing, lessons learned, and functional specifications.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a STEM major.
- Five to eight years of software development experience.
- Strong C++ development skills, including design.
