Role overview
Lead Firmware Engineer role focused on embedded firmware development for MarkVIe platforms.
The platforms support power generation applications.
Work in a global, cross-functional engineering environment.
Essential responsibilities
- Define architecture and low-level design requirements from high-level system requirements.
- Design, develop, code, test, and debug embedded system software.
- Improve the efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.
- Integrate and validate new product designs.
- Lead detailed design, source code, unit test, and requirements reviews.
- Interface with hardware design and development teams.
- Develop design verification and validation plans with firmware test engineers.
- Perform or oversee testing and assess third-party and open-source software.
- Maintain documentation for designs, code reviews, and unit test results.
- Support product development from project initiation through release and maintenance.
- Work in Agile development environments and cross-functional global teams.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
