Role overview
Serve as a technical cornerstone in development and evolution of the MarkVIe control platform.
Drive firmware design, implementation, optimization, reliability, and performance for power-generation control systems.
Core responsibilities
- Translate system requirements into firmware architectures and low-level design specifications.
- Lead design, coding, testing, and debugging of mission-critical MarkVIe software.
- Analyze and improve system-resource efficiency, stability, and scalability.
- Integrate product designs and oversee formal design verification and validation activities.
- Lead reviews of designs, source code, unit-test frameworks, and requirements documentation.
- Coordinate across hardware design, systems engineering, product, and firmware test teams.
- Champion automated unit and regression testing and continuous improvement.
- Manage software from project initiation through release and long-term maintenance.
- Evaluate third-party and open-source components while maintaining cybersecurity compliance.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Nine to twelve years of professional experience in embedded software programming.
