Role Overview

Lead electrical engineering for the design and development of low-voltage and medium-voltage drives.

Own engineering work packages and coordinate execution with teams and global stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

  • Convert product and project specifications into electrical schematics.
  • Specify, size, select, and analyze electrical components.
  • Prepare single-line diagrams, schematics, general arrangements, bills of materials, and reports.
  • Design and execute work packages within quality, cost, schedule, and resource targets.
  • Coordinate work packages with system engineers and program, product, and project managers.
  • Verify prototype hardware under specified operating conditions.
  • Support manufacturing at factory and vendor facilities.
  • Conduct functional testing and project factory acceptance tests to applicable standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from a reputed college or university.
  • At least 10 years of electrical design and study experience in industry, marine, oil and gas, or power sectors.
  • Knowledge and application of international electrical standards.
  • Ability to adapt and multitask with project or application engineers.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of LV/MV drive engineering and electrical component design.
  • Proficiency in electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, bills of materials, and reports.
  • Knowledge of PLM and electrical design tools.
  • Understanding of IEC, UL, NEC, and NFPA electrical codes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AutoCAD or EPLAN experience is preferred.
  • PLM and Primavera experience is an added advantage.
  • French or German proficiency is an added advantage.

Travel and Work Conditions

  • Travel on short notice within the base country and overseas may be required.
  • Extended hours, including weekends and holidays, may be required during critical periods.
  • Relocation assistance is provided.

Lead a team in a matrix environment and work effectively with multidisciplinary international teams.

Demonstrate communication, self-motivation, creativity, organization, and the ability to solve complex problems.
