Role Overview
Lead design, development, testing, validation, and certification of LV/MV variable-speed drive systems.
The role focuses on core power electronics for industrial drive products.
Responsibilities
- Perform drive and filter sizing, hardware design, loss-budget calculations, earthing and protection circuit design, arc-flash calculations, and root-cause analysis.
- Use calculations, modeling, and simulations to realize product and project requirements.
- Prepare and validate configurations, operating principles, application guidelines, specifications, BOMs, single-line diagrams, and drawings.
- Verify prototype hardware under specified operating conditions and support manufacturing at factory or vendor facilities.
- Define functional test requirements, conduct testing to UL/IEC standards, and conduct project factory acceptance tests.
- Coordinate with system engineers and program, product, and project managers, and mentor team members.
- Travel as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in power electronics, electrical engineering, or an equivalent field.
- At least 10 years of power electronics design and testing experience for industrial drives.
- In-depth knowledge of motors and drive control systems.
