Role Overview
The role is a Land Surveyor position focused on water infrastructure and related surveying activities.
The position includes field surveying, calculations, mapping, documentation, supervision, and HSEQ compliance.
Surveying and Documentation
- Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys.
- Verify survey measurements and calculations conducted at sites.
- Calculate terrain characteristics, heights, depths, relative positions, and property lines.
- Prepare or supervise survey data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents.
Ground Surveys and Analysis
- Plan and conduct ground surveys to establish baselines, elevations, fixed points, and geodetic measurements.
- Use theodolites, transits, levels, GPS, and other engineering instruments.
- Analyze survey data using plans, maps, charts, AutoCAD, and GIS.
- Research surveying and mapping techniques, including photogrammetry and electronic data processing.
Supervision and Consultation
- Train, direct, and supervise assistants and helpers in surveying and map drafting.
- Participate in and promote worker consultation, training, and information sharing.
HSEQ and Compliance
- Follow company and authority health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Identify and report hazards and ensure adequate controls before routine and non-routine work.
- Participate in internal audits and complete corrective actions for HSEQ findings.
- Report incidents, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the designated site HSE representative.
- Attend mandatory HSE training, emergency response procedures, and mock drills.
Pay
- The stated pay is AED 6,000 to AED 8,000 per month.
Work Location
- Work location is in person.
Requirements
- Experience as a Land Surveyor on water infrastructure or underground utility projects is asked about in the application questions.
- Experience with potable water, sewerage, stormwater, or irrigation networks is asked about in the application questions.
- Experience using GPS/GNSS and Auto Level is asked about in the application questions.
- Ability to independently perform setting-out, leveling, and coordinate verification is asked about in the application questions.
- Follow applicable health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and regulations.
