Role Overview
Kitchen operations assistant role supporting food preparation, quality, cleanliness, and daily kitchen activities in a hotel environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain food quality, kitchen equipment, and cleanliness standards across all kitchen areas.
- Prepare basic meals and assist with festive menus, gala dinners, special events, and planned dishes.
- Perform cleaning tasks and maintain high hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
- Handle, store, and maintain ingredients and prepared food according to food safety procedures.
- Assist with food preparation, special meals, presentation, lunch boxes, takeaway meals, and packaged food.
- Receive, handle, and store food supplies while keeping ingredients available and properly maintained.
Job Experience Requirements
- Secondary vocational education in hospitality is required.
- Training or specialization in culinary arts, cooking, or professional kitchen operations is preferred.
- Knowledge of professional kitchen hygiene, food handling, safety standards, and daily kitchen procedures is required.
- A responsible, dependable, motivated, and efficient approach to kitchen work is required.
- Ability to work at a good pace in a fast-paced kitchen environment is required.
