Joinery Finishing Painter

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Perform spray painting and finishing works on joinery items including doors, cabinets, wardrobes, furniture, wall panels, and wooden fixtures.
• Prepare wooden surfaces by sanding, filling, cleaning, and smoothing prior to finishing applications.
• Apply PU paint, lacquer, varnish, stain, polish, and other finishing materials using spray guns and related equipment.
• Ensure consistent, smooth, and high-quality finishes that meet project specifications.
• Carry out touch-ups, repairs, repainting, and polishing as required.
• Mix and match paint colors, stains, and finishing materials to achieve the desired results.
• Operate spray painting equipment, sanding machines, and finishing tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Follow company procedures, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with supervisors, workshop staff, and site teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Joinery Finishing Painter in fit-out, renovation, maintenance, or joinery manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of wood finishing techniques and finishing materials.
• Hands-on experience with PU painting, staining, varnishing, polishing, and lacquer applications.
• Ability to operate spray guns and related finishing equipment.
• Good understanding of surface preparation methods and finishing quality standards.
• Experience in interior fit-out and renovation projects is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• Physically fit and capable of working in workshop and site environments.
