Job Role
The Inventory Manager oversees inventory operations across stores, warehouses, and distribution channels.
The role ensures stock availability, accurate inventory records, efficient stock movement, and reduced excess and obsolete inventory.
Inventory Operations
- Manage the inventory cycle from receiving and storage through distribution and store replenishment.
- Monitor stock levels across stores and warehouses.
- Coordinate stock transfers between warehouses and retail stores.
- Monitor slow-moving, fast-moving, excess, damaged, and obsolete inventory.
- Conduct stock counts, cycle counts, and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances.
Controls and Reporting
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures, policies, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records across ERP, POS, and inventory management systems.
- Monitor inventory turnover, stock availability, shrinkage, and other key inventory KPIs.
- Prepare regular inventory reports and provide management with insights and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with company inventory procedures and internal controls.
