Draughtsman

Role Overview

Drawing Production

• Prepare technical, construction, shop, and as-built drawings.
• Develop plans, elevations, sections, details, layouts, and installation drawings from architectural, structural, MEP, and façade designs.
• Produce façade drawings covering curtain wall, cladding, glazing, aluminium, and related details where applicable.
• Prepare mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building-services drawings as required.

Coordination and Technical Review

• Coordinate drawings across architectural, structural, façade, and MEP disciplines.
• Review drawings for clashes, inconsistencies, and technical issues.
• Incorporate engineer and consultant comments into drawings.
• Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors so drawings reflect actual project requirements.

Project Documentation

• Prepare drawings for submission, approval, fabrication, and site execution.
• Update drawings after site changes and prepare accurate as-built documentation.
• Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and document control.
• Follow project standards, specifications, and applicable codes.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in drafting, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, architecture, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience as a Draughtsman in construction, MEP, façade, aluminium, glazing, or a related industry.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with Revit, BIM, or other relevant design software is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and technical drawings.
• Understanding of construction methods, materials, detailing, revisions, and technical documentation.
• Experience preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and site teams.
• Ability to manage multiple drawings and deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
