Role overview
Prepare accurate technical drawings, shop drawings, layouts, and construction details for construction, MEP, and façade projects.
Work with engineers, architects, project managers, and site teams to coordinate accurate drawings.
Drawing production
- Prepare technical, construction, shop, and as-built drawings.
- Develop plans, elevations, sections, details, layouts, and installation drawings.
- Produce façade drawings for curtain wall, cladding, glazing, aluminium, and related details.
- Prepare MEP drawings for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building services.
Coordination and documentation
- Coordinate architectural, structural, façade, and MEP drawings.
- Review drawings for clashes, inconsistencies, and technical issues.
- Incorporate engineer and consultant comments.
- Prepare drawings for submission, approval, fabrication, and site execution.
- Update drawings for site changes and maintain accurate as-built documentation.
- Maintain drawing registers, revisions, and document control.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant Draughtsman experience in construction, MEP, façade, aluminium, glazing, or related industries.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and technical drawings.
- Good understanding of construction methods, materials, and detailing.
- Experience preparing shop drawings and as-built drawings.
- Ability to work with project stakeholders and manage multiple drawings and deadlines.
Preferred software
- Experience with Revit, BIM, or other relevant design software is an advantage.
