Position Overview
Experienced Infrastructure Engineer role focused on security, reliability, vulnerability remediation, automated patching, and infrastructure automation.
The role supports large-scale Windows and Linux environments and works with application, security, risk, and IT stakeholders.
This is a remote contract role with full-time hours.
Accountabilities
- Lead vulnerability remediation across Windows and Linux servers.
- Coordinate automated operating-system patching across production and non-production environments.
- Validate systems with application teams, risk management, and IT stakeholders before and after patching.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and peer reviews.
- Support ServiceNow change requests, approvals, risk assessments, and documentation.
- Troubleshoot patching and remediation issues affecting stability, performance, availability, or compliance.
- Develop scalable and repeatable infrastructure automation.
- Share knowledge through DevOps and infrastructure communities of practice.
- Communicate patching schedules, risks, expectations, and validation requirements.
- Collaborate with and mentor infrastructure vulnerability and DevOps peers.
