HSE Training Manager

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the HSE training strategy in alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and ISO 45001.
• Conduct training needs analyses and competency assessments and maintain training matrices.
• Develop and deliver classroom, practical, workplace, and e-learning HSE programs.
• Coordinate inductions, mandatory training, refresher courses, and competency development.
• Monitor effectiveness through assessments, feedback, audits, incident data, and performance indicators.
• Maintain training, certification, competency, and compliance records.
• Manage calendars, stakeholder communications, external providers, examinations, and accreditation requirements.
• Prepare reports and KPI dashboards on training performance and competency development.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a recognized HSE qualification.
• NEBOSH IGC, NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ, IOSH, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Recognized Train-the-Trainer qualification, such as Highfield Level 3 International Award in Delivering Training or Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
• At least 3 years of experience delivering HSE training programs.
• Experience with classroom, practical, and workplace-based training, competency assessments, and training needs analysis.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and HSE management systems.
• Excellent presentation, coaching, facilitation, communication, organization, planning, and reporting abilities.

Skills

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Experience developing engaging classroom, practical, and workplace training solutions.
