Role overview

Main responsibilities

• Report to the Assistant Restaurant Manager or Restaurant Manager.
• Report punctually in the correct uniform, with polished shoes and nametag, while maintaining grooming and hygiene standards.
• Provide courteous, professional, and efficient service and perform all tasks required at the outlet.
• Know the hotel’s services, products, and assigned food and beverage items.
• Explain and upsell assigned items, offer alternatives, and support guest satisfaction.
• Monitor supplies and equipment, reduce spoilage and wastage, and keep the workplace clean and organized.
• Perform opening and closing procedures for the assigned outlet.
• Handle guest enquiries and report complaints and feedback to supervisors, ensuring follow-up.
• Operate the existing POS system at the assigned trained responsibility level.
• Follow hotel policies on fire, hygiene, health, and safety and maintain good staff relations.
• Attend and contribute to staff meetings and scheduled departmental and hotel training.

Requirements

• Maintain a clean, well-pressed uniform, appropriate polished shoes, nametag, and a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
• Have knowledge of the hotel’s services and products and a thorough understanding of assigned food and beverage items.
• Be able to operate the existing POS system at the trained responsibility level.
• Adhere strictly to hotel policies covering fire, hygiene, health, and safety.
• Attend scheduled staff meetings, departmental training, and hotel-initiated training.
