The role is for a dynamic and self-motivated front-office professional seeking to develop a hospitality career.
The Guest Service Agent provides professional and customer-focused service to create memorable guest stays.
Guest Service Responsibilities
- Provide consistently professional, friendly, warm, and engaging service.
- Welcome guests and complete check-in according to established standard operating procedures.
- Check out departing guests according to established standards.
- Sell rooms to walk-in guests and handle day-to-day facilities issues.
Cash and Desk Operations
- Manage cash inventory and cash cheques and foreign-currency bills of exchange according to the credit policy.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, Finance, Reservation, and other departments.
- Keep the Guest Service Desk staffed, operationally prepared, and stocked.
Education and Experience
- A degree in hospitality is ideally preferred.
- Previous experience in a hotel front-office department is ideally preferred.
- Previous experience with Opera is an advantage.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are essential.
- Knowledge of an additional language, strong interpersonal abilities, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Candidates should be computer literate and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Standards and Competencies
- Maintain guest privacy and do not disclose guest details.
- Understand hotel policies, procedures, service standards, facilities, and current happenings.
- Demonstrate customer focus, adaptability, teamwork, responsibility, and recognition of differences.
