Job Description
The A/C Technician installs, services, repairs, and maintains hotel air-conditioning and refrigeration systems at Beach Bay Hotel Al Mirfa.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain electrical and mechanical refrigeration systems, including freezers, fridges, ice makers, fan coil units, and chillers.
- Perform preventive maintenance and check refrigeration system and component performance.
- Verify walk-in cooler and freezer door gaskets and latches.
- Maintain ice-maker defrosting systems and automation.
- Handle maintenance requests from hotel departments.
- Clean fan coil units and air-handling unit filters.
- Check air-conditioning and chilled-water system performance.
- Detect system failures with engineering colleagues and support function setup.
- Control CFC venting, overhaul equipment, and check refrigeration and oil levels.
- Coordinate parts purchasing with the Engineering Storekeeper.
- Follow country technical regulations and safety standards.
Education, Qualifications & Experience
- A diploma in refrigeration systems maintenance or building services engineering is preferred.
- Previous experience in the same role and proven equipment operation and maintenance knowledge are preferred.
- Good command of English and fault-finding and subsystem-rectification ability are essential.
