The Front Desk Agent provides professional and customer-focused service to hotel guests.
The role supports guest satisfaction from arrival through departure.
Key responsibilities
- Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient guest service from arrival through departure.
- Greet guests by name when known and escort them to their rooms.
- Conduct in-room and hotel familiarization and assist with hotel activity enquiries and requests.
- Maintain current knowledge of hotel information and local services, including hours, promotions, events, and attractions.
- Maintain awareness of daily rate levels and occupancy levels.
- Administer front desk cashiering standards and follow all systems, policies, and procedures.
- Process guest accounts from check-in to check-out and accurately post incidental charges using computerized Front Office systems.
- Protect guest privacy by ensuring guest details are not disclosed.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel policies, procedures, service standards, facilities, and current happenings.
Education and experience
- A degree in hospitality is desirable.
- Previous experience in a hotel's Front Office Department is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are essential.
- Knowledge of an additional language is essential.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities are essential.
- Computer literacy is required.
- Previous experience with Opera is advantageous.
