Job Overview

  • We are representing a premier name in the food and beverage industry to recruit an experienced and dynamic General Manager (Bakery & Retail).
  • This is a full time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
  • The successful candidate will be a hands on leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of a high end bakery and retail operation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all day to day operations of the bakery and retail outlet, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to brand standards.
  • Assume full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to drive revenue and manage costs effectively.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and manage a high performing team, including bakers, baristas, and retail staff, fostering a positive and productive work culture.
  • Uphold the highest standards of product quality, presentation, and consistency, from production to point of sale.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous health, safety, and hygiene standards in compliance with local regulations.
  • Develop and execute local marketing and sales strategies to increase footfall, build customer loyalty, and enhance brand presence.
  • Manage inventory, procurement, and supplier relationships to ensure optimal stock levels and cost efficiency.
  • Oversee visual merchandising and the overall retail environment to create an inviting and premium customer experience.
  • Analyse sales data and customer feedback to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a General Manager or senior management role within the premium bakery, café, or food retail industry.
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrable experience in P&L management, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse team.
  • A deep understanding of food and beverage operations, quality control, and industry best practices.
  • A customer centric approach with a passion for delivering an outstanding service experience.
  • Excellent organisational, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Previous experience working in the Middle East is highly advantageous.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is a significant plus.
