Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented **Finishing Carpenter (Joinery)** to join our team for fit-out, renovation, and maintenance projects.
The ideal candidate must have strong experience in high-quality carpentry, joinery installation, furniture finishing, and operation of carpentry machinery.
The role involves both on-site and workshop-based work for residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform finishing carpentry and joinery works for residential, commercial, and fit-out projects
- Install doors, cabinets, wardrobes, wall panels, skirting, wooden partitions, and other joinery items
- Carry out repair, maintenance, and modification of existing wooden structures and furniture
- Read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and cutting lists accurately
- Operate carpentry machinery such as cutting machines, edge banding machines, sanding machines, drilling machines, and related equipment
- Ensure precise measurements, alignment, and high-quality finishing standards
- Conduct on-site adjustments and modifications during installation as required
- Coordinate with supervisors, site teams, and other trades for smooth project execution
- Maintain tools, machinery, and work areas in proper condition and ensure safe usage at all times
- Follow company procedures, project specifications, and site safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Finishing Carpenter (Joinery) in fit-out, renovation, or maintenance projects
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, joinery materials, tools, and machinery
- Ability to safely operate carpentry machines and equipment
- Ability to read technical drawings and execute work with accuracy
- Experience in maintenance and repair works is required
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
- Physically fit and capable of working on-site and in workshop environments
