Role objective

Stakeholder engagement

• Engage CFOs, Finance Directors, Controllers, and finance teams.
• Conduct discovery workshops and stakeholder discussions.
• Build trusted relationships with finance leadership.

Finance process analysis

• Analyse month-end and year-end close, management reporting, reconciliations, financial consolidation, FP&A, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Analyse accounts payable and receivable, data preparation and reporting, audit, and compliance processes.
• Identify manual, repetitive, Excel-heavy, and error-prone processes.
• Map current-state and target-state processes.

Solution identification

• Identify where Alteryx, automation, AI, data platforms, and other solutions can improve finance processes.
• Develop business cases around efficiency, control, accuracy, and productivity.
• Identify cross-sell and transformation opportunities across the CFO organisation.
• Translate business pain points into clearly defined solution opportunities.

Alteryx and automation consulting

• Understand Alteryx capabilities and identify relevant use cases.
• Identify workflow automation, data preparation, reconciliation, reporting, and analytics opportunities.
• Work with technical and solution teams to validate feasibility.

Solution consulting and presales

• Convert discovery findings into solution concepts.
• Prepare solution presentations, proposals, and statement of work inputs.
• Define scope, deliverables, assumptions, and business outcomes.
• Support commercial discussions and client presentations.
• Coordinate with Solution Architects and technical teams.

Opportunity management and handover

• Maintain and qualify a pipeline of finance transformation opportunities based on need, urgency, budget, and potential value.
• Work with Sales and Commercial to progress opportunities and document them in CRM.
• Support conversion from discovery through proposal and closure.
• Provide delivery teams with requirements, process maps, use cases, and expected outcomes.
• Support solution handover, UAT, and client adoption where required.

Ideal candidate

• 4–8 years of experience in Finance Transformation, Finance Consulting, Business Analysis, Solution Consulting, or Technology Consulting.
• Strong understanding of CFO and finance processes and experience with senior finance stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, presentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to translate business problems into technology solutions and work independently.
• Understanding of Alteryx, automation, data analytics, AI, or similar technologies is highly preferred.
• Commercially aware and comfortable supporting presales.
