Requirements
- Able to work weekends and public holidays
- Advanced coursework or experience in customer service, family learning, or retail operations preferred
- Experience working with young children (ages 1 10) and their families in recreational settings, afterschool programs or classrooms
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact positively with children, adults, and large groups
- Experience working in a fast paced, high volume environment
- Ability to work with diverse staff and visitors
- Excellent grasp of the English language; Arabic is a plus

Position Overview
- The Events Coordinator (EC) is responsible for fulfilling Hoppi®'s vision of creating awesome experiences and memories for all visitors.
- Working on and off the floor, EC acts as Hoppi®'s brand ambassador, with the primary objective of engaging with all visitors in an empathetic, thoughtful and joyful manner.
Core Responsibilities
- Be an ambassador for the Hoppi® brand; ensure that every visitor's experience at Hoppi® meets or exceeds expectations, specifically through inclusive, culturally appropriate, positive and memorable interactions with a friendly and sincere approach.
- Skillfully convert birthday party inquiries into successful bookings.
- Utilize all opportunities to upsell our events, products and our venue.
- Meet monthly targets on the numbers for birthday parties.
- Take charge of the birthday experience at Hoppi® in all material respects including the core offering, guest satisfaction, booking process, targets, operational execution, and so on.
Visitors Experience and Service
- Treat every visitor with respect and provide friendly, courteous communication by orienting them to the building and informing them of the exhibit areas and programs.
- Provide excellent guest service, and facilitate visitors experience and journey through a proactive and thoughtful interaction.
- Contribute to a positive, team based, and visitor first centric culture.
- Attend to guest queries, and complaints. Amicably resolve matters with any dissatisfied guests.
- Collect and communicate visitors feedback and suggestions.
- Recognize and report visitors trends.
Operational Execution
- Take full operational responsibility to ensure that guests have a positive and memorable experience at Hoppi®.
- Work with the reception team on a day to day basis to have a thorough understanding of the guests reservation/booking and cover operations when needed.
- Communicate with the guests to finalize the details of the visit including food and other options in relation to the visit.
- Collaborate with different teams within Hoppi® for example, communicate the food preferences with the café team in a timely manner, communicate any special requests with the facilities or the guest engagement team as necessary and appropriate.
- Welcome visitors at the time of the event and ensure that their event moves flawlessly through the museum.
- Undertake all the set up requirements in the event rooms as appropriate.
- Remain attentive to the guests throughout their stay at Hoppi® and resolve any concerns / answer any queries in a favorable manner.
- Accept payments from visitors for group bookings.
- Participate in training programs designed to enhance interaction with visitors in the Hoppi® manner.
Internal Coordination
- Provide colleagues with a forward looking calendar of all the events planned on a weekly/daily basis.
- Ensure that chaperones are assigned to the group visits.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of Hoppi®.
- Assist visitors in case of an incident or an emergency.
- Attend training and be prepared to perform emergency procedures (i.e. fire evacuation, accident reporting, etc.).
- Make sure that the F&B orders are placed in time in conjunction with the Chef de Partie; ensure that the food for specific events is made available to visitors at the appropriate time.
- Working with other colleagues, proactively contribute to the success of any special events and programs designed to enhance the profile of Hoppi® within the community.
- Perform other duties and be involved in projects and activities that contribute to the achievement of Hoppi®'s objectives.
Essential Qualifications
