Role Overview
The employer's client is a Tier 1 main contractor with an established UAE presence and a strong track record on large-scale build projects.
The company is appointing an Estimator to manage the full tender process for high-value build projects in Dubai.
Responsibilities
- Manage tenders from initial enquiry through submission, including review of documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Identify scope, risk, and opportunity; prepare bills of quantities and quantity take-offs.
- Issue subcontractor and supplier enquiries, analyze and level returns, and build rates for labour, plant, and materials.
- Prepare cost plans, budgets, and tender submissions.
- Attend mid-tender and post-tender meetings with clients and consultants.
- Coordinate with planning, design, and commercial teams on tender strategy.
- Support handover of successful tenders to the delivery team.
Requirements
- Have proven estimating experience with a main contractor.
- Have UAE or wider GCC experience on build projects.
- Have strong knowledge of measurement, quantity take-off, and rate build-up.
- Be confident dealing with subcontractors, clients, and consultants.
- Be proficient with estimating software and Excel.
