Role Overview
IMEP Engineering & Contracting LLC is seeking a DEWA Approved Electrical Engineer.
The role manages electrical design, installation, testing, commissioning and authority approvals for Civil and MEP projects.
The position requires 7–10 years of experience with strong UAE or Dubai experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electrical works in compliance with DEWA requirements and UAE regulations.
- Prepare and review electrical drawings, load schedules, SLDs and technical submissions.
- Coordinate LV panels, DBs, SMDBs, MDBs, cables, containment, lighting, earthing and power systems.
- Coordinate DEWA submissions, inspections, approvals and connections.
- Supervise electrical installation, testing and commissioning.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Review material submittals, method statements and shop drawings.
- Ensure quality, safety and compliance with approved drawings.
- Resolve site technical issues and coordinate with other MEP disciplines.
- Support project management with progress, technical and authority requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 7–10 years of UAE experience with strong UAE or Dubai experience.
- Strong knowledge of DEWA regulations and electrical installation practices.
- Experience in commercial, industrial, fit-out or turnkey projects.
- Good AutoCAD and electrical design knowledge.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- DEWA-approved Electrical Engineer status with valid or active approval is preferred.
- UAE driving licence is preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 5,000–7,000 per month.
Workplace
- Work is performed in person.
