Role Overview
An experienced Electrical Design Engineer is sought for a Dubai-based role.
The position focuses on electrical systems for water treatment plants, firefighting systems, and environmental service projects.
The engineer will prepare electrical designs and technical submittals that meet technical standards and client requirements.
Compensation
- Salary is based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical technical submittals, including diagrams, panel schematics, BOQs, cable sizing, cable lists, load schedules, layouts, lighting, small power, earthing, lightning, and shop drawings.
- Prepare FAT, SAT, Megger, continuity and loop, functional, and earthing test forms.
- Coordinate electrical designs with process, mechanical, instrumentation, automation, and drafting teams.
- Support proposal, production, and operations teams.
- Send RFQs to suppliers and manage supplier coordination, negotiations, and technical meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 5–10+ years of electrical design and technical submittal preparation experience in industrial applications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design tools.
- Knowledge of MCCs, VFDs, PLCs, and power distribution panels.
- Knowledge of regional regulations and authority requirements, including DEWA, DM, and ADDC.
- Proficiency in electrical testing procedures and test form preparation.
- Ability to coordinate across multiple technical disciplines.
- Water or wastewater project experience is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
