Job Description
The Demi Chef de Partie is responsible for daily food preparation and assigned kitchen duties while meeting established standards and quality requirements.
The position is based at Park Rotana and Park Arjaan Abu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
- Prepare food according to menu specifications.
- Maintain hygienic conditions in the work area according to hotel rules.
- Control food stock and food cost in the assigned section.
- Prepare daily mise en place and food production in the main kitchen or satellite sections.
- Follow instructions from immediate supervisors.
- Maintain consistent quality and stay updated on new products, recipes, and preparation techniques.
- Instruct and lead subordinates through daily food preparation requirements.
- Participate in buffet and special function setup.
- Coordinate with other sections on requirements, cleanliness, wastage, and cost control.
Education, Qualifications and Experience
- A professional kitchen apprenticeship or chef training course is required.
- Previous experience in quality establishments and good culinary skills are required.
- The candidate must communicate well in English.
- Knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and preservation is essential.

- The role requires a positive, dynamic, creative, and dedicated team player.
- The role requires the ability to work in a multicultural environment and under difficult conditions.
- Relevant competencies include hotel operations, effective communication, business planning, supervising people, understanding differences, supervising operations, teamwork, adaptability, customer focus, and drive for results.
