About the role
NTT DATA is seeking a DATACOM SME to provide technical leadership and expertise in enterprise networking and data communication technologies.
The role focuses on designing, implementing, optimizing, and supporting complex network infrastructures with high availability, performance, scalability, and security.
The position is remote for the growing team in the UK and/or other European countries.
Core responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure solutions.
- Provide expertise across LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and data center networking.
- Lead network transformation and modernization initiatives.
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams.
- Support firewalls, NAC, segmentation, and secure access solutions.
- Develop architecture, standards, procedures, technical documentation, and solution designs.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management.
- Evaluate new technologies and drive network standardization and continuous improvement.
Required qualifications
- Typically 8+ years of experience in network infrastructure, data communication, and enterprise networking.
- Experience designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting large-scale enterprise networks.
- Experience with LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, wireless, network security, data center, and cloud connectivity solutions.
- Hands-on expertise with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Huawei, Fortinet, or equivalent platforms.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching.
- Understanding of data center networking, redundancy, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, technical discussion, and mentoring skills.
Desired qualifications
- Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Fortinet, or Huawei networking certifications are desired.
- Cloud networking experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform is desired.
- Knowledge of Ansible, Python, Terraform, Zero Trust, ITIL, SDN, or NFV is desired.
- Experience working in global enterprise environments is desired.
