Role Overview

Lead strategic transformation across AUM, capital raise, revenue reporting, and data management.

Modernize legacy reporting and ERP processes through a data lakehouse platform and standardized governance.

Location and Schedule

  • Mumbai work-from-office position.
  • Working hours are 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM IST.

AUM and Revenue Operations

  • Lead AUM reporting across public and private market investment vehicles.
  • Manage subscriptions, redemptions, transfers, market movement, FX impacts, distributions, and capital activity.
  • Oversee capital raise reporting, investor flow analytics, revenue-to-AUM reconciliation, and reporting consistency.

Data Transformation and Governance

  • Migrate reporting from spreadsheets and multiple tools to an enterprise data lakehouse.
  • Design the target-state operating model and define data governance standards.
  • Automate period-end reporting and improve data quality, lineage, certification, and auditability.

Data Integration and Technology

  • Govern fund, security, investment vehicle, client, legal entity, currency, and benchmark reference data.
  • Integrate ABOR, IBOR, market data, ERP platforms, and data warehouse or lakehouse systems.
  • Partner with Technology and Data Engineering teams on architecture and reporting automation.

Controls and Program Leadership

  • Establish reporting controls, certification frameworks, KPI, SLA, and data quality dashboards.
  • Lead steering committees, transformation governance forums, cross-functional teams, change management, and user adoption.
  • Present updates to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, computer science, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years in asset management, investment operations, fund administration, or financial services.
  • At least 5 years leading transformation, ERP, or data modernization initiatives.
  • Experience managing global stakeholders.

Domain Expertise

  • Strong understanding of AUM, capital raise, revenue reporting, investment performance reporting, and public and private market fund structures.
  • Experience with mutual funds, ETFs, hedge funds, private equity, private credit, real estate funds, infrastructure funds, SMAs, or CITs.
  • Strong working knowledge of ABOR, IBOR, portfolio accounting, fund accounting, investment accounting, and reconciliation.

Technical and Functional Skills

  • Experience with ERP platforms, data lakehouse architecture, data warehousing, master data management, data governance, metadata, lineage, and reporting automation.
  • Power BI or Tableau experience is required; SQL is preferred.
  • Cloud platform exposure, including Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric, is preferred.

Success Measures

  • Successful migration to a modern data lakehouse with improved quality, governance, and reporting accuracy.
  • Faster period-end close, greater automation, reduced spreadsheet dependency, and certified auditable reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder satisfaction and successful delivery of strategic transformation initiatives.
