Role overview

Join a business undergoing significant digital transformation with Dynamics 365 supporting supply chain, manufacturing, warehousing, and operational performance.

Design, configure, and deliver scalable Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management solutions.

Work across warehousing, manufacturing, procurement, planning, logistics, and technology teams.

Location and working pattern

  • The role is based in Northern Buckinghamshire.
  • The working pattern is hybrid.
  • Travel to operational sites is required as needed.

Core responsibilities

  • Lead requirements-gathering workshops and identify best-practice solutions.
  • Own solution design and fit-gap analysis across D365 SCM.
  • Configure and optimise Warehouse Management, Manufacturing, and Planning functionality.
  • Design processes for inventory, procurement, warehousing, production, and supply chain operations.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, integration teams, and third-party partners.
  • Support testing, user acceptance testing, go-live, and post-implementation activities.

Documentation and capability

  • Produce business requirements documents, functional design documents, fit-gap analyses, process maps, and test scripts.
  • Provide D365 SCM subject matter expertise and best-practice guidance.
  • Support integrations with operational technologies and third-party systems.
  • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to team capability development.
  • Ensure governance, compliance, and documentation standards are followed.
  • Monitor Microsoft Dynamics product developments and industry trends.

Essential requirements

  • Proven experience as a Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant.
  • Previous exposure to AX2012 environments.
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing, inventory management, procurement and sourcing, production control, manufacturing, and master planning.
  • Hands-on experience with Advanced Warehouse Management in D365 SCM.
  • Experience delivering full project lifecycles from discovery through deployment and adoption.
  • Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to mentor and coach junior team members.
  • Willingness to travel to operational sites as required.

Desirable qualifications

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management certification.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in retail, manufacturing, food production, logistics, or distribution environments.
