Role Overview
The experienced Cost Controller will lead the Cost Control function and report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
The role covers cost control across the Central Kitchen, warehouses, and operational locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, coach, and develop the Cost Control team.
- Plan and monitor daily Cost Control operations.
- Oversee food and beverage cost control across operational locations.
- Review recipe costing, standard portion costs, and menu pricing.
- Oversee inventory valuation and inventory records in the accounting system.
- Monitor purchase prices, supplier quotations, and market price trends.
- Coordinate periodic and surprise stock counts.
- Review reconciliations, stock variance reports, and discrepancy investigations.
- Prepare monthly cost and variance reports for the CFO.
- Coordinate with Accounting, Procurement, Central Kitchen, and Operations.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Comply with company, health, safety, and food safety requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience, including prior supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage cost control, inventory valuation, recipe costing, and cost accounting.
- Strong analytical, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Fluent English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
- Proficiency in ERP or accounting systems, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Excel.
