Role Overview

The Construction Supervisor (Mechanical & Piping) supervises mechanical and piping construction activities for CAT III, IV, V, and VI projects.

The role covers brownfield and greenfield projects, normal plant operations, and shutdowns, and reports to the Head of Construction.

Main Duties and Accountabilities

  • Supervise safe, high-quality, schedule-compliant construction activities in accordance with project processes, specifications, and IFC drawings.
  • Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, third parties, project engineering, QA/QC teams, and QatarEnergy LNG.
  • Review and approve construction method statements and verify that requirements are implemented at site.
  • Monitor construction activities and critical locations against QatarEnergy LNG and project technical specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, facility, technical, and Permit to Work requirements.
  • Report progress, concerns, and mitigating actions and participate in weekly construction meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent diploma.
  • At least eight years of experience in mechanical and piping construction, field execution, and mechanical completion on EPC oil and gas projects.
  • Experience with brownfield and greenfield projects, shutdowns, and oil and gas, chemical, or petrochemical facilities.
  • Experience with piping systems, valves, static and rotating equipment, and hot and cold tapping.
  • Fluent spoken and written English with good IT skills, including Excel and Word.
  • HVAC installation experience is optional.
