Role Overview

Engineering and Interface Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical issue resolution and interface with project engineering and management teams on major decisions.
• Manage engineering, quality, construction, procurement, subcontractor, and vendor interfaces.
• Monitor process equipment package design and fabrication progress.
• Provide technical support for mechanical completion and commissioning activities at vendor shops, fabrication yards, and sites.
• Review and approve design change notices and field change requests.

Testing and Completion Responsibilities

• Develop technical completion plans and participate in major equipment performance tests.
• Define factory acceptance test criteria and ensure documentation and punch-list items are recorded in the systems completion database.
• Lead site performance test procedures and criteria.
• Generate project systems completion schedules and participate in systems completion workshops.
• Develop step-by-step dynamic commissioning procedures for allocated systems.

Site Execution Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight during fabrication, mechanical completion, and commissioning activities.
• Interface with system owners and construction teams to prioritize completion and allocate mechanical completion check sheets.
• Ensure system issue quality, accuracy, integrity, change agreement, and closeout verification.
• Conduct system walkdowns with appropriate discipline and multifunction attendance.
• Monitor preservation activities and manage vendor attendance plans.

Commissioning Materials

• Manage procurement of commissioning and start-up spares, first fills, special tools, and equipment so they are available at site on time.
• Develop systems completion vendor support plans for assigned systems.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree in chemical engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 15 years of engineering experience and at least 8 years of on-site installation, pre-commissioning, changeover, and commissioning management experience.
• Brownfield and greenfield oil and gas project experience is required.
• Offshore and water treatment experience are required.
• ADNOC experience is preferred.
• Fluent English and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required; French or Arabic is a plus.
