Construction Engineer (EXPO)

Work Arrangement

• The role is full-time and based in the office or project location in Riyadh.
• The project supports Expo 2030 Riyadh infrastructure works across a six-square-kilometer masterplan.

Job Summary

Construction Coordination

• Assist with construction methods and procedures and coordinate engineering or construction problems with senior construction leadership.
• Identify quality, safety, and schedule issues and monitor site activities for safe, compliant execution.
• Attend contractor coordination and progress meetings and compile daily reports.

Drawings and Materials

• Interpret design drawings and verify contractor compliance, including temporary facilities, field revisions, additions, and as-built drawings.
• Review design, vendor, and installation documentation and study interference issues.
• Review quantities and material takeoffs and coordinate deliveries, storage, expediting, and schedule reports.

Controls and Safety

• Track manpower, material, and equipment requirements and review field changes, extra work orders, and back charges.
• Review method statements and safety submittals for safe systems of work.
• Audit health and safety programs, monitor installations, and support system turnover.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an international equivalent and five years of relevant work experience.
• Civil infrastructure experience covering earthworks, underground utilities, related structures, or road construction.
• Experience working in the GCC is required, with Saudi Arabia experience identified as ideal.

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of contract administration, claims analysis, construction negotiation, and subcontract responsibilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, meet accelerated schedules, and operate in a culturally diverse organization.
• Ability to communicate in spoken and written English.
