Purpose of the Role
The Commis 3 Chef assists the Chef de Partie with preparation work, food supplies, and kitchen hygiene.
The role supports consistent food quality, quantity, and section operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef de Partie with preparatory work for dishes.
- Prepare and portion food on time according to quality and quantity standards.
- Follow recipes accurately and weigh ingredients using proper quantities.
- Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, including refrigerators and freezers.
- Ensure products are fresh, suitable, and stored properly.
- Support smooth section operations during the Chef de Partie’s absence.
- Minimize spoilage and waste through proper storage and portion control.
- Follow food hygiene guidelines and support kitchen health and safety standards.
Professional Requirements
- Have a high school education or equivalent.
- Have 1 to 2 years of full-time work experience.
- Have previous experience in the food and beverage industry.
- Know food preparation methods that meet high-quality standards.
- Know how to maintain high standards of hygiene.
Interpersonal Requirements
- Work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
- Demonstrate attention to detail.
- Be adaptable to competing demands and able to learn on the job.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be thorough, methodical, and well organized.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary is AED 1,500 per month.
- Shared bachelor’s accommodation is provided.
- The salary package is stated as non-negotiable.
Schedule
- The role is full-time and requires six days per week.
Workplace
- Work location is in person.
