Purpose of the Role
Assist the Chef de Partie with preparatory work for creating dishes, stocking food supplies, and maintaining high hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion food on time while meeting quality and quantity standards.
- Follow recipes accurately and weigh ingredients using correct quantities.
- Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, including refrigerators and freezers.
- Ensure products are fresh, suitable for use, and stored properly.
- Support smooth section operations during the Chef de Partie’s absence.
- Minimize spoilage and waste through proper storage and strict portion control.
- Follow basic food hygiene guidelines and assist with kitchen health and safety.
- Work efficiently and maintain organized, thorough, and methodical kitchen practices.
Professional Requirements
- High school education or equivalent is required.
- At least 1–2 years of full-time work experience is required.
- Previous food and beverage industry experience is required.
- Knowledge of high-quality food preparation is required.
- Knowledge of maintaining high hygiene standards is required.
Interpersonal Requirements
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability to competing demands and ability to learn on the job.
- Strong listening, organizational, thorough, and methodical working skills.
Compensation
- Salary is AED 1,500 per month.
- Shared bachelor’s accommodation and duty meals are provided.
- The budgeted package is not negotiable.
Schedule
- The position is full-time and requires six working days per week.
Workplace
- Work is performed in person in Dubai.
