Role purpose
Assist the Chef de Partie with food preparation, stocking supplies, and maintaining high hygiene standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and portion food on time according to quality and quantity standards.
- Follow provided recipes accurately when preparing food.
- Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, including refrigerators and freezers.
- Ensure products are fresh, suitable, and stored properly.
- Support smooth running of the section during the Chef de Partie’s absence.
- Minimize spoilage and waste through proper storage and strict portion control.
- Follow basic food hygiene guidelines.
- Weigh ingredients and use proper quantities in food preparation.
- Assist chefs with kitchen health and safety standards.
Professional requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- 1 to 2 years of full-time work experience.
- Previous experience in the food and beverage industry is required.
- Knowledge of food preparation to high quality standards.
- Knowledge of maintaining high standards of hygiene.
Interpersonal requirements
- Work quickly and efficiently.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to learn on the job and adapt to competing demands.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Listening skills, thoroughness, and a methodical approach.
- Good organizational skills.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 2,500 per month.
- The salary package is not negotiable.
Workplace
- The work location is in person in Dubai.
