Purpose of the Role
Assist the Chef de Partie with preparatory work, food supply stocking, and maintaining high hygiene standards.
Support food preparation and kitchen operations as a Commis 3 Chef.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and portion food on time while meeting quality and quantity standards.
- Follow provided recipes accurately when preparing food.
- Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, including refrigerators and freezers.
- Check product freshness and suitability and store products properly.
- Ensure smooth running of the section during the Chef de Partie’s absence.
- Minimize spoilage and waste through proper storage and portion control.
- Follow basic food hygiene guidelines at all times.
- Weigh ingredients and use proper quantities in food preparation.
- Assist chefs in upholding kitchen health and safety standards.
Professional Requirements
- High school education or equivalent.
- Minimum 1-2 years of full-time work experience is required.
- Previous food and beverage industry experience is required.
- Knowledge of food preparation to high quality standards is required.
- Knowledge of maintaining high hygiene standards is required.
